What a Hardscaping Company Website Needs
A hardscaping website needs a free estimate request, a gallery of finished projects, a list of the areas you serve and reviews. All five hardscaping companies we studied around Atlanta had a free estimate form and a project gallery. Four of the five had the other two.
We read each company's site in August 2026, menu by menu.
What services should a hardscaping company list?
Patios, retaining walls, fire features and planting. All five built patios, and at least four listed walls, fire pits and sod or planting as add-ons.
Drainage came up on at least three sites, usually tied to a patio or wall. Outdoor kitchens, lighting and decks were each offered by two or three. List what you build, and give your biggest jobs their own pages.
Should a hardscaping company publish prices?
Four of the five published no prices. The fifth showed three patio price ranges: $5,000 to $12,000, $15,000 to $30,000, and $40,000 to $100,000 or more. If you don't publish prices, show the size and materials of each finished job instead, so a homeowner can judge the scale.
What should a hardscaping project gallery show?
All five had a gallery. For each project, name the material, the rough size and the ground you built on. A homeowner with a sloped yard wants to see a sloped yard you fixed. At least two of the five also showed before-and-after photos.
The best patio page we read asked for the estimate six times, told three before-and-after stories and answered seven questions. It also explained how drainage and the base under the stone decide how long a patio lasts.
Should I show installer certifications?
If you have them, yes. None of the five showed one. The paver industry's own body, ICPI, certifies installers, and paver makers such as Belgard run authorized contractor programs. A certification near the top of the page sets you apart from every site we read.
Do hardscapers need a license in Georgia?
Your business license comes from your city or county. Whether your work also needs a state contractor license depends on the job, so check with the Georgia Secretary of State's licensing board. Retaining walls over 4 feet usually need a local building permit. If you pull the permit, say so on your walls page.
What pages should a hardscaping website have?
- A free estimate request and a project gallery: all five.
- The areas you serve, and reviews: four of five.
- Drainage work: at least three.
- Before-and-after photos: at least two.
- An installer certification: none.

Common questions
Should a hardscaping company put prices on its website?
Most don't. Four of the five Atlanta-area hardscapers we studied published no price. One showed three patio ranges, from $5,000 to $100,000 or more.
What pages does a hardscaping website need?
At minimum: a free estimate request, a project gallery, the areas you serve and reviews. All five companies we studied had the first two, and four had the others.
Do retaining walls need a permit in Georgia?
Walls over 4 feet usually need a local building permit in Georgia cities, though each measures height its own way. Check with your city or county before you build.
Where do these figures come from?
- Five hardscaping companies around Atlanta, read on their own websites in August 2026. Five is a small sample: it shows what established local companies do. The 4-foot permit rule checked against the City of Acworth's and City of Snellville's permit documents, October 2026.
How GoVisible Web does it differently
This is the first step on every site we build: we read five competitors in your market. On every plan, your site gets project pages that name the material, rough size and ground conditions. Its quote request asks for the size of the job and a budget range. If you hold an installer certification, your site shows it. See it on our hardscaping page.
- You get a free preview of your site in 48 hours, before you pay. No card and no obligation.
- We study five of your local competitors in your trade before we write a word.
- Every site is set up so Google, Bing and AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Grok can read your business details.
- Every page, fact and phone number is checked before you see it.
- Prices are published, from $1,497 to $5,497. Every plan includes 6 months of Site Care, then $89 a month.
- You own your domain, your words and your code. If you ever leave, every file is yours within 5 business days.
